| 1 | unbaked pie shell (9 inch) |
| 2 C | pecan halves |
| 3 | large eggs, beaten |
| 3 T | melted butter |
| ½ C | dark corn syrup |
| 1 C | sugar |
| 2 T | good quality bourbon |
| 3 oz | semisweet chocolate, chopped |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cover bottom of pie crust with pecans
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and melted butter.
- Add the corn syrup, sugar, bourbon, and chocolate.
- Stir until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour mixture into pie shell, over top of pecans
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake
- For 10 mins
- Lower temp to 350 and continue to bake for 25 mins, until pie is set
- Remove from oven and cool on wire rack
Appendix
- 25 mins way too short.
- 50 was too long.
- No gram cracker crust, use traditional.
- Probably need need real baker squares, not chocolate chips.
